Douglas Gale

Douglas Gale, CTLP® is the owner and president of Terra Echelon, LLC, a group of companies managing tax lien investments, REO Services, and related municipal financing. He started these companies in 2004 after eight years with an alternative investment fund, where his career began as an acquisitions manager and he left as the vice president of operations, the #2 position behind the owner. At that fund, he was credited with growing the AUM eight-fold in just three years, all the while increasing the portfolio returns by 30% and lowering the cost structure by 50bps. In 2009, REO America (his foreclosure and REOM management company) was listed on the INC.5000 list at number 1,133 overall and number 18 in real estate. Throughout his career, Mr. Gale has purchased and managed over $1 billion in tax liens, managed tens of thousands of foreclosures, and liquidated roughly 10,000 REO properties. In 2004, Mr. Gale graduated at the top of his MBA class, Beta Gamma Sigma, from the Crummer School of Business at Rollins College. At the time, Crummer was rated the #1 business school in the southeast by Forbes and U.S. News and World Report. Also, Mr. Gale has served: as an expert witness in federal courts, as a board officer, including a 2-yr appointment as president, of the National Tax Lien Association, and on the Planning Board for the City of Altamonte Springs for several years. Currently, Doug serves as a board member of Remington College.
