City of DETROIT files Bankruptcy

On Thursday, July 18th, 2013, Detroit became the largest city in America to file bankruptcy.

The state of Michigan does not currently sell Tax Liens. If they did, they would have funds contributing towards Police, Firemen, Schools & Teachers, and Parks & Recreation. The sale of Tax Liens help the county and local governments pay for the services and benefits they have promised to provide for their citizens.
